Eugene Sacred Harp Singers Eugene, Oregon

Hollow Square

All are welcome to come sing or listen.

    • Eugene Holiday Market, performance on Saturday, December 16, at noon inside the south entryway to the building. If you have a Sacred Harp book and want to join us, come along! We may have some loaner books there too.

    • Our annual holiday sing-along will be the next day, on Sunday, December 17, at Eugene Garden Club, 1645 High St. 7 - 9 pm. We may do a short performance (TBD) but mostly we will be sitting in the hollow square and singing from the Sacred Harp. All are welcome to join in with us, and loaner books will be available. There will be light refreshments after the singing. If you want to check out this wonderful tradition, this is a great time to do it.

WINTER: Currently, singings will usually happen on second and fourth Thursdays of the month at Central Lutheran Church, at 18th and Potter, 7:30-9 pm. To find us, park in the lot behind the church, and come in through the door on that side of the building. If you arrive late and it has gotten locked, there should be a number posted on the door to call someone on a cell phone to let you in. This month, due to Thanksgiving and the grace of the calendar offering a fifth Thursday, we will meet on Thursday, November 30; after that we'll be back to our usual schedule, so the next singings after that will be on December 14 and 28.

SUMMER: (Memorial Day to Labor Day) - Singings happen on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month, 7 pm until dark outside, in Maury Jacobs Park, at the end of N. Adams St. (If it is raining, call Jean Murphy at 541.342.4131 to find out where we are meeting.)
